This young female guinea pig presented to me because of the scabbing preset on her nose. I also noted bilateral nasal discharge and thick discharge coming from the right eye. The nasal crusting is most likely ringworm and she likely also has an upper respiratory infection. I got samples of hair and some crusts for a fungal culture to confirm the ringworm. In a perfect world more diagnostics would have been done but due to money constraints she just went home with antibiotics and an antifungal medication.
